Garden Concert

Delamore HouseOn Saturday 23rd June 2012 the concert performance of HMS Pinafore was scheduled to be held in glorious sunshine in the beautiful gardens of Delamore House, at the kind invitation of Gavin and Nicky Dollard.  The audience would enjoy a picnic beforehand and relax in the beautiful Devon countryside.  Well, that was what was meant to happen.  In reality the weather forecast was awful, with torrential rain timed to coincide with the performance, so the decision had to be taken to relocate the performance to Lee Moor Hall.

HMS PinaforeLee Moor Hall is an excellent concert venue and with true British spirit the audience arrived with their picnics and settled in for an excellent evening's entertainment.  The Plymouth Gilbert and Sullivan Fellowship were up to their normal very high standard and their concert version of this popular operetta was very much enjoyed and appreciated.

HMS Pinafore Jubilee EncoreA good evening was had by all and the audience departed in torrential rain....just as forecast !!  Well at least it was not a wash out !!

Our thanks to all of you who supported this event which raised much needed funds for both Cornwood Church and the G&S Fellowship.
