About Us

St. Michael and All Angels is the Church of England parish church for the village of Cornwood just within the southern edge of Dartmoor National Park. It also serves the small hamlet of Lutton.

To find out about our church see the People page, the Services page, about and the History page.

The church is part of the diocese of Exeter, whose priorities we share in growing in prayer, making disciples [people who follow Jesus] and serving our communities with joy.

We are open hearted and welcome all who come here. We believe that Jesus came to bring the best of life as a gift to us all and invite allcomers to discover the truth of his claims and the joys of life with Jesus at the centre of our existence and our relationships

Safeguarding
We all have a responsibility to ensure the safety and well being of everyone in our community.  In accordance with the House of Bishops Interim Guidelines on Safer Recruitment 2015, we will ensure those who are working with children, young adults and vulnerable adults on behalf of St Michael and All Angels Church are suitable for the roles they are undertaking.
We will act with other agencies to uphold current safeguarding legislation and follow Diocesan procedures and guidance to protect all in our church community.
The contact details of the Safeguarding team are posted in the Church if you wish to speak to someone about a concern.
